Selling Kitsap Real Estate: Manchester Washington

Manchester Washington

Researching areas in Kitsap County is a priority of mine as a real estate professional in the area.  Not having grown-up here in Kitsap County I have the added joy of learning the area history and why things are the way they are.

Over the last couple of weeks I have spent a lot of time in the Manchester area.  The homes I have showed or previewed were listed as being in the 98353 zip code. Some have a city name of Port Orchard and some have a city name of Manchester.

I had never thought of “Manchester” as a city so off I went to figure out what this was all about.  No there isn’t a Manchester City in the true sense of “city”, but Manchester is a separate census area, has a Community Council and very active volunteers.  The citizens of Manchester are very interested in their area of Kitsap County and have formed several committees/groups to address their city issues.

Check out these awesome websites for more information and to see historic photos.

Hi Jo. Great dock photo in Manchester along with the stats to go with it. The income levels, age of folks, population and male/female distribution are great to know.

Gary, I love that we are surrounded by water! People relocating sometimes just need "the facts" :)

I love Manchester. The State Park there is fantastic. That's where I had my senior pics taken (many, many moons ago!) Great job! ~A:)

I also love Manchester. My family has spent a lot of time there at the State park as well and using the boat launch.. It's its own little world and very beautiful.
